Premium Indiana Forest Products

The Premium Indiana Forest Products logo highlights the importance of Indiana's quality hardwood timber along with the value you receive when you buy finished goods using this label. The hardwood industry in Indiana is an integral part of our state's agricultural community. It makes up the largest share of the different agricultural segments in Indiana. The Premium Indiana Forest Products program was established by the Indiana Hardwood Lumbermen's Association along with support from Indiana's Department of Agriculture. IHLA conducted face to face, in depth research to see what people thought of the many different products made of Indiana's hardwoods. Individuals were interviewed from the primary and secondary markets, as well as architects, custom home builders and space planners.

Below are several comments from participants.

The Premium Indiana Forest Products logo centers on a stylized pattern within the shape of the state of Indiana. The pattern looks like both the veins on a leaf and the branches of a tree, reflecting the origin nature of the products it represents. The color green is added to reflect the sustainability of Indiana's forests and our industry.
